Is there any difference
in features between the free and registered versions?
No. Both have exactly the same features and functionality.
However, the free version will place "Created by PDFMoto"
as a watermark on the converted PDF document. This will not
be displayed on any of the registered versions.
What does the document
limit mean?
PDFMoto is licenced by the number of documents it can manage.
The total number of documents managed is the total number
of documents in all the Document Library source folders. The
freeware version for example can handle up to 50 documents.
If the total number of documents in all your Document Libraries
is 50 and you add 1 extra document then that document will
not be converted, you have exceeded the limit. If however
you delete one document from one of your source folders, so
you have 49, then add another document this will be converted
because you have not exceeded the 50 document limit.
To clarify still further, if you have PDFMoto convert 50
documents, you then decide that in fact you don't want any
of these documents publishing so you delete all 50 from your
Document Library sources, PDFMoto will:
- Remove the 50 published documents (good house keeping,
whenever a document is deleted from a Document Library source
PDFMoto deletes it from the published site).
- Allow you to convert another entirely different 50 documents.
