PDFMoto support International character sets, such as Eastern
European, Russian, Japanese etc?
Yes. PDFMoto can create PDF documents which include International
character sets. Please ensure you have V1.4.1.1 or above installed.
Does PDFMoto support
web optimisation?
Yes. PDFMoto can be configured to optimise the pdf files
it produces for the web.
What benefits does
web optimisation give?
Using web optimisation minimises the download time for pdf
files. Web optimisation is particularly useful for documents
with many pages.
Does PDFMoto
support font embedding?
Yes. This is not set by default because it can result in
the PDF documents being far larger in file size. To set font
embedding, go to Preferences, PDF Settings in the Properties
dialog of your Document Library.
Can PDFMoto convert
hyperlinks within a document?
PDFMoto can only convert hyperlinks starting http:// or www.
It cannot currently convert hyperlinks of any other kind.
Can I adjust the image
compression within my pdf conversions?
Yes.
Does PDFMoto support
PDF document security?
Yes. PDFMoto does support PDF security hence you can control
who can copy and print converted documents.
Can I speed up PDF download times
Yes. PDFMoto supports linearization. This is designed to
speed up the download of large PDF documents.
Can I optimize build times
Yes. There are a number of measures you can take to optimize
build times.
- Restrict your Document Libraries to having no more than
500 documents each.
- Avoid adding documents with passwords and macros in them.
